ART 492/592 – Art Educator’s Institute

Location: Northern State University Johnson Fine Arts Center
Tuition: $40.00 per credit hour
About: Northern State University’s Art Department in partnership with Arts of South Dakota will host the 2026 Art Educator’s Institute. Participants interested in attending all four days (2 workshops) may apply to take the companion course for two undergraduate or graduate credits. Participants interested in attending Monday-Tuesday OR Wednesday-Thursday (1 workshop) may apply to take the companion course for 1 undergraduate or graduate credit.  Those who apply for the companion course will be required to attend workshop sessions, have signed documentation of attendance, and present one completed project at the 4-5PM Show and Share session on Tuesday, July 14th or Thursday, July 16th in addition to submitting a photo of the project to the instructor. Additionally, graduate students will be required to submit a lesson plan or reflection paper into the Dropbox on d2l or emailed to nadya.preszler@northern.edu by August 1, 2026, to receive credit.

All workshop participants must also register through Arts South Dakota.
